It still amazes me as to how close everything is to one another in Europe. You fly 1200 kilometers and immediately you find yourself in a place with rolling hills and sheep with long tails.
It's funny how we were unfortunate enough to travel to Italy right on the rare occasion of bad weather. We thought that we were escaping the rain and summer cold as we were hoping to be greeted by sunlight and heat. Instead, we found ourselves amidst a thunderstorm and hail but that's okay, as we were given a compensation in the form of the following morning. Sometimes, a two day trip is all you need.
